            / "A" / "B" / "C" / "D" / "E" / "F"
            / "a" / "b" / "c" / "d" / "e" / "f"

The RFCs are inconsistent on the case sensitivity of hexadecimal digits. Existing uses suggest case‐insensitivity is a de‐facto standard.
